CITY striker Grant Holt missed out to Brighton's Nicky Forster for the September League One Coca-Cola Player of the Month.

The former Shrewsbury Town striker has so far bagged seven goals in all competitions for the Canaries and was nominated for the award alongside Forster, Lee Barnard of Southend and Carl Baker of Stockport County.

Holt scored two of his goals in the month of September - his last-minute equaliser against Charlton Athletic a couple of weeks ago and his latest excellent effort in the 4-0 victory over Leyton Orient on Tuesday evening.
