INSIDE TODAY'S 'ON THE BALL'
THIS AFTERNOON'S Coca-Cola League One match with Bristol Rovers will see the latest edition of the Club's official matchday programme 'On the Ball' on sale.
Inside today's programme you will find manager Paul Lambert's programme notes. The City boss gives his thought's on Tuesday night's 4-0 win over Leyton Orient and tips one of his young Canaries for the top.
Saturday's programme also carries an exclusive interview with City's former Bristol Rovers striker Jamie Cureton who was back among the goals on Tuesday and is now gunning for Rovers.
During an in-depth interview with programme editor Peter Rogers, Cureton recalls his time with the Pirates and his prolific partnership with Jason Roberts.
"It was my hometown club and I grew up watching them," recalled Cureton. "I then had just under five years playing there and it really was a special time, I really enjoyed it.
"Me and Jason had two full seasons together, in the first season I got 29 and he got 23 then the following season it went the other way, he got 25 and I got 24. He has certainly been my most prolific partner, certainly in terms of goals as a partnership."
Cureton also talks openly about the frustrations he has experienced during his second spell at Carrow Road.
"I'm sure if people look back, I doubt I've played 10 games alongside the same person and that's my biggest thing, I've never settled, I've never had a settled partner. Okay my form has not been great and I totally accept that but if you look back since I signed under Granty I'd say 15 different strikers have played for us."
Priced at just £3, 'On the Ball' will be on sale from sellers around the ground on Saturday and available from the two Canary Store outlets at Carrow Road and The Mall, Norwich.
Readers will also find inside seven pages dedicated to visitors Bristol Rovers and the latest instalment of 'An Alphabetical Assortment' - an alphabetical look at all things Norwich City.
Also inside Saturday's official matchday programme are Academy Manger Ricky Martin's thoughts on the youth team's recent victory over Chelsea at Colney. Also Ian Crook gives his own thoughts on the extra match officials taking part in the UEFA Europa League this season.
