CITY midfielder Stephen Hughes is set to miss Saturday's League One clash at Carlisle after being called up to the Scotland squad.

Hughes is a late call-up to the squad which faces Japan in an international friendly at the NIssan Stadium in Yokohama on Saturday.

Declan Rudd will also be unavailable for the game as he is playing for England Under-19s in three UEFA Under-19 European Championship qualifiers in Slovenia on Friday, Sunday and Wednesday.

Michael Spillane has pulled out of the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday's 5-1 win over Bristol Rovers at Carrow Road.

Saturday's academy match at Colney against Portsmouth has been put back to a midday kick-off.
