CITY boss Paul Lambert has no new injury concerns as he prepares his side for a trip to the capital to face fellow League One promotion-chasers Millwall on Saturday (3pm).

Adam Drury remains the only absentee with a thigh injury picked up in last week's game with Walsall.

Lambert confirmed both Jens Berthel Askou and Michael Spillane came through the Reserves' 3-1 defeat against Wycombe on Tuesday unscathed, but after 45 minutes each were not yet ready for a return to first team action.

"They're a still good bit away," said Lambert. "They had 45 minutes each after being a long time out. The main thing for me was they had to come through the game without being hurt again, which they did do."

After a long absence young striker Luke Daley is recovering 'slowly but surely' from his thigh injury, which has seen him unavailable since the beginning of December.

Leading goalscorer Grant Holt is still suspended - this match the last of his three-game suspension.

With City now unbeaten in 16 league matches the Scot is looking to extend that run tomorrow, although he admits it's difficult to constantly produce high-level performances: "I want to win. The standard the lads have set has been huge - the level of performances and consistency levels, the level that they've done it week in, week out. And that's not just playing for a half but it's been nearly the whole game playing a really high level of football.

"I know human nature dictates you can't play like that every single game. To go every single game, I'd love to see it but you don't. You have to respect your opponent, they're never going to let you do what you want, things on any given day can go against you and you need a bit of luck.

"The lads have been absolutely brilliant, and in the cold light of day you stand back and say the run they've gone on has been extraordinary."

After this week's fixtures third-placed Charlton sit seven points behind the Canaries and although Lambert agrees it's a welcome gap the City boss remains totally focussed on his side and their performances: "Yes, but you try and not look over your shoulder, you just try and keep going forward. We've put ourselves in a position where we're up there at the minute and Charlton, Leeds, Huddersfield, Millwall - everybody's there. But I don't see the point of looking over my shoulder at the minute just because we're up there."

Holt celebrates his goal against Millwall on Boxing Day

Millwall have themselves remained unbeaten in the league since their visit to Carrow Road on Boxing Day when they lost out 2-0 to strikes from Wes Hoolahan and Grant Holt. And Lambert is sure they'll prove hard opponents having only lost once this season at the New Den.

"It's a tough game - I say it every week it's really, really hard. There will be a terrific atmosphere there and Kenny (Jackett) has got a really good side.

"Kenny's got them going great at the minute as well and every game I think is hard. Every team has given us problems and we've had to overcome them and this one will be no different.

"The onus more often than not is with the home team because of the crowd. It's like Norwich playing at home - the onus is on us to make the running and the crowd drive you on."

After securing the biggest home crowd of the season last week against Hartlepool with 25, 506 packing into Carrow Road, this Saturday will see this campaign's biggest band of travelling Canaries - just under 3,000 making their way to the capital.

"I think you've got to use them, there's no doubt they can help us," he said. "You can go back to Southend and go back to Walsall when we were shooting down towards our own fans - it definitely drives you on. The fanbase as I've said is incredible, 3,000 or whatever are going it's just a brilliant fanbase and if they're on our side we've got a chance.

"You use your crowd to your advantage. This season since I've been here they've been terrific. Even the first game of the season when you're getting beat 5-0 they still stayed with the team and that's the first time I'd seen that. Not that many people left the ground that day and that's incredible, incredible in itself. I just think they're brilliant fans I really do, I think they're terrific."

Tickets for Saturday's match are now no longer on sale. City fans are advised not to travel without a ticket and there will be no sales on the day.
