GOSS BACK TO HELP WITH RESERVES

Posted on: Fri 12 Mar 2010

CITY legend Jeremy Goss has been invited back to the Club by Canary boss Paul Lambert to assist Ian Crook with the reserve team.

Goss made 238 appearances for City and scored 23 goals during the Club's Premiership heyday, many of them playing alongside fellow Hall of Fame members Crook and current assistant boss Ian Culverhouse. He was also capped nine times for Wales during his playing career.

After spells with Hearts and King's Lynn he returned to Norwich in 1999 as a part-time Academy coach and also later held important roles in the Club's sponsorship sales department and more recently as Norwich City Community Ambassador.

He starts his new role assisting Crook with the Reserves today, as they take on Southend away in a Totesport.com Combination clash at Roots Hall (2pm).

The move will boost the coaching support available to the Reserves as well as freeing up more of Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa's time to focus on first team matters with Lambert, in the crucial final weeks of the Coca-Cola League One campaign.
