CITY midfielder Stephen Hughes says the whole City squad have a role to play in the tough matches ahead for the Canaries.
Norwich face two games in four days against sides battling to avoid relegation to League Two - with tomorrow night's trip to Tranmere Rovers (7.45pm) followed by the visit of Stockport County to Carrow Road on Easter Monday (3pm).
Scottish international Hughes says the players are not getting caught up in the hype and excitement surrounding the excellent position the Canaries find themselves in with just eight games to go in League One - and are staying fully focussed on each game.
"We just need to keep on going and keep on winning, we've got a lot of hard games coming up so just take one game at a time," he told reporters at today's pre-match press conference.
"Obviously we've got a busy weekend ahead of us, a couple of massive games, so we'll be trying to win them.
"We'll look forward to the game tomorrow first and foremost. We'll go up to Tranmere where it will be a difficult game, they're fighting for their lives, but hopefully we'll try and play and obviously try and get the three points.
"There is no easy game in this division, everybody is playing for something right now - whether it's fighting relegation, getting into the play-offs or what not. So it will be a difficult game but we'll go up there with confidence."
The importance of everybody in the squad contributing - not just the first eleven for any given match - is a theme manager Paul Lambert has emphasised throughout the campaign so far.
Although Hughes has found it frustrating to have his first team opportunities limited due to the excellent form of Korey Smith and Darel Russell, he has concentrated on making the best contribution possible when called upon - and they don't come much better than the surging run and whipped-in cross which set up Chris Martin for the dramatic late winner against Leeds last Saturday.
"It was pretty similar to when they turned us over earlier on in the season. I was obviously happy to come on and contribute to the goal but most important are the three points.
"I knew it was a chance. I saw Chrissy Martin make the run and thankfully he did the rest and did the hard part and put it in the back of the net, so that was vital for us.
"I'm frustrated like everyone who's not playing, but at the end of the day it's a team game and as I've said before everybody over the course of the season has played their part at some point - obviously the starting 11 that's been playing most weeks has been performing consistently well so the people like myself on the sidelines just have to be patient. It's frustrating but you just have to wait for your chance and hopefully it comes sooner or later.
"It's a team game so whatever team the gaffer puts out everybody gets behind the boys to win. It's good to be involved but obviously every player wants to play as much as they can.
"It's a long season and I think if you look throughout the season the squad has been used quite a lot, so everybody has to play their part, that's what we're here to do and I'm just delighted that we got the win last week."
