NORWICH boss Paul Lambert says he's looking for his side to win the last three remaining games of the season to finish the season on a high and lift the League One trophy.

City go into tomorrow's game against Gillingham at Carrow Road (3pm) needing just one more point to guarantee them the title, having secured promotion last weekend at The Valley - Michael Nelson's 34th minute header against Charlton combined with results elsewhere confirming the Canaries will play Championship football next season.

"We have to win the game, nothing changes from the other weeks," said Lambert. "I don't think Gillingham are safe either so we have to try and keep them down there and try and do it right and try and win the game.

"That's the job - win the title, I want to win it and we're in an absolutely brilliant position to do it."

"We trained yesterday at the same level as we have been. They know we've still got something to do and it's not just going to be given to you, you have to earn the right to get it and hopefully we can. Being at home and the crowd being up for it we'll hopefully get it done."

Midfielder Korey Smith missed last Saturday's match having picked up an ankle knock in training. Lambert told reporters this morning Smith may return to the squad for tomorrow's game but doubt still remained over Wes Hoolahan (thigh): "Korey's been training and Wes is just jogging at the minute - so we'll just have to wait until after today."

Lambert said the Irishman was responding well to treatment but he didn't wish to risk him until he was ready: "As I said he's jogging and it might be too early. I'll have to wait and see.

"I'm sure in his own mind he'd want to get back out there as quickly as he could and try and finish it off, but you can't rush anyone back if they're still feeling it."

Skipper Grant Holt is back in contention against the Gills having completed his two-match suspension. However, both Paul Lambert and Head of Football Operations Gary Karsa have received a one-game touchline ban after being found guilty of improper conduct in City's match at Tranmere Rovers at the beginning of the month. Both will have to sit in the stands for tomorrow's game.

The two sides meet at Carrow Road tomorrow in different circumstances - the Gills needing points to help keep them away from the relegation zone, having not won an away game all season, compared to the Canaries who secured their 11th away victory at The Valley last Saturday, a Club record for a season. Asked why Gillingham may have found it hard on the road this season, Lambert said: "In this league you have to win points away from home because there are some really hard places to go away and get the results you need and they're not just going to give you them - it's really tough.

"I can't put my finger on why they haven't done anything away from home as their home form has been decent. And I'm sure away from home they'd like to have picked up some more points, but it's a hard one to answer."

Having broken the Club record for away wins in a season last week - would the Canaries continue to push for the most victories in a campaign and a record points tally?

"I want to win the last three games. I don't just want to look for the point to get us there, I want to win the last three games and get as many points as we can and more importantly win the league - that's my main aim.

"You want to finish as strongly as you possibly can. Whatever happens it won't deflect  from what the lads have done, they've been brilliant for me. And if the players and fans enjoy it, I would say enjoy it, because not many teams have success in football - it very rarely comes knocking on your door and if you're going to win something make sure you remember it."

He added: "If you win something you've earned it, you enjoy it the best you can and hopefully the lads will finish it off and the fans and the players can enjoy it.

"I'm pretty sure the fans will come tomorrow absolutely buzzing with the whole thing and they'll roar us on and hopefully we can give them something at the end of it. I keep reiterating - I want to win the league, promotion is great, absolutely terrific but I want to win it."

Tomorrow's game is a complete home sell-out - an extra 250 tickets went on sale at 9am this morning but have been snapped up. However, limited buy-back tickets will be available on the day of the game from 1pm from the buy-back windows in the Jarrold Stand.
