BUILDING WORK ONGOING AT CARROW ROAD

Posted on: Thu 01 Jul 2010

BUILDING work continues at Carrow Road to increase the capacity of the ground to 27,000 for the 2010-11 npower Championship campaign.

The additional seats will be added throughout the ground with the Norwich and Peterborough Stand seeing the biggest increase.

There will be 280 seats installed in the lower tier with the addition of two new rows at the front, while 160 will be added to the upper tier by reconfiguring the existing seats.

The Jarrold Stand will see 250 seats added at the front, while likewise in the City Stand, 165 seats will be installed and the Upper Barclay will have 160 new seats.

All supporters who have existing seats in adjacent rows to the works being carried out have been written to by the Club, with the option to move into the new seats if they wish.

"The building work has been going on at Carrow Road since the start of June," said Customer Services Manager Richard Gough.

"Where a new front row is being installed, supporters in existing seats will still have the same view of the pitch.

"The new front row of seats in the Geoffrey Watling City Stand will be at pitch level as it is a raised stand. Over in the Jarrold Stand, they are removing the front apron and lowering it slightly.

"The Upper Barclay will have a new back row of seats installed so no one in an existing seat will be affected by these additions."
