ADEYEMI MAKES BRADFORD SWITCH

Posted on: Wed 14 Jul 2010

CITY can today confirm that midfielder Tom Adeyemi has joined League Two Bradford City on loan for six months.

A product of the Canaries' Academy, 18-year-old Adeyemi's loan at Valley Parade will run until January 12, 2011.

Adeyemi progressed though the youth and reserve ranks at Colney and after a string of impressive pre-season displays, culminating in a superb goalscoring performance against a Manchester United XI at Carrow Road, he made his Norwich debut as a substitute on the opening day of last season.

The 2009-10 season proved to be a memorable campaign for Adeyemi who made a total of 17 appearances in the City first team. He also won national recognition when he was named as League One Apprentice of the Year at the Football League Awards in March.

An opportunity of regular first team football is clearly the next step in Adeyemi's career progression as City manager Paul Lambert explained: " It's good for Tom to go out on loan to a big club like Bradford for six months, it'll do his development a world of good and it'll benefit both Tom himself and Norwich City.

"Peter Taylor (Bradford manager) will look after him and a run of games will hold him in good stead for his career."
