NORWICH City Football Club will be lending its support to the Community Sports Foundation's Sporting Light Appeal on Sunday at the Canaries' home fixture with Manchester United.
The Community Sports Foundation is the Club's official charity partner and the Sporting Light Appeal aims to make a difference to disadvantaged and disabled people across Norfolk by raising money, so that CSF can keep providing opportunities for participation in sport and other vital services.
Around 50 volunteers have come forward, following an appeal last week, to help CSF with their ground collection outside Carrow Road on Sunday; volunteers will be wearing Sporting Light Appeal t-shirts and giving out information to fans about the appeal and the work that CSF does in the community.
City players will be warming-up for the big match wearing Sporting Light Appeal t-shirts, which will be signed and added to the Club's eBay site from next week for fans to bid for, all proceeds going to the appeal.
At half-time, a handful of Sporting Light Appeal Business Champions, who have chosen CSF as their charity of the year, will be presented to the crowd and will have their picture taken on the pitch with CSF Ambassador Paul McVeigh, who himself takes part in a skydive for the appeal on Saturday.
