FORMER City goalkeeper Paul Crichton was appointed as the new goalkeeping coach at Carrow Road in February 2009.

Crichton left the same position he held at League One club Brighton & Hove Albion, whom he joined in July 2007.

The Pontefract-born stopper replaced Tommy Wright who left City by mutual consent.

Crichton made over 500 senior appearances in all competitions for a host of clubs during a career which started back in 1986 with Nottingham Forest.

His playing spell with the Canaries came in June 2001 when Nigel Worthington brought him to Carrow Road from Burnley as cover for Robert Green. He made just six appearances for City before joining York City on a free transfer in the summer of 2004.
