The Kettering born midfielder joined the Canaries in July 2008 from Luton Town on a three-year deal.
Bell started his career at Rushden & Diamonds making 140 appearances in total, scoring 10 goals before moving to Luton in January 2006.
David scored the winner for the Hatters early in their Championship season of 2006/07 against Birmingham City at Kenilworth Road in a 3-2 win. A week later he scored Luton's third in the 5-1 home victory over Leeds United.
The midfielder, who can operate centrally or wide right won Luton's Internet Player of the Season and Young Supporters' Player of the Season for the 06/07 season.
The Republic of Ireland B international started off the 07/08 season in fine form scoring four in thirteen appearances, concluding the season on loan at Leicester City.
He totalled 89 appearances in his two-and-a-half years at Luton Town, contributing eight goals.
