WINGER Anthony McNamee signed for City permanently on January 4, 2010 from Swindon Town after initially joining on loan in November.

McNamee made his City debut at Carrow Road in the 2-0 win over Oldham Athletic on December 5, as a 82nd minute sub for Wes Hoolahan.

His first start for City didn't arrive until February 23, 2010, where he turned in a man of the match performance in the 2-1 win over Southend United at Carrow Road and set up both goals for Oli Johnson.

He joined Swindon from Watford in January 2008 having made 103 appearances and scored three goals in all competitions for the Hornets, where he had come through the youth ranks. With a mixture of start and substitute appearances at Vicarage Road he helped Aidy Boothroyd's side gain promotion to the Premier League in the 2005-06 season.

McNamee also had brief loan spells with Barnet and Crewe Alexandra before he moved permanently to The County Ground for an undisclosed fee, where he has made 88 appearances for Swindon in all competitions, scoring four goals.
