MIDFIELDER David Fox joined City on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Colchester United in June 2010.

A successful first season for the Canaries saw the creative midfielder make 32 appearances at the heart of City's midfield, scoring one goal as he rifled home City's opener in their 1-1 draw with Millwall at the New Den in November. Fox capped off his season with a sumptuous cross for Simeon Jackson's match-winning goal against Portsmouth in May, a win that secured the Canaries return to the Barclays Premier League.

The cultured midfielder was signed by Paul Lambert for the U's in the summer of 2009 on a Bosman transfer from Ian Holloway's Blackpool.

Fox made his debut for the Essex club in their 7-1 opening day defeat of the Canaries in August 2009, scoring Colchester's fourth goal with a superb 25-yard free-kick. He made 20 appearances and scored three goals for the U's.

The midfielder started his career at Old Trafford where he was a trainee and captained Manchester United's reserve side, before being loaned briefly to Shrewsbury, then Royal Antwerp in 2004.

He then made the move to Bloomfield Road in January 2006 where he featured 108 times in all competitions, scoring seven goals in his three-and-a-half years with the club - which included a League One Play-Off Final, where the Seasiders beat Yeovil 2-0 to secure their place in the Championship for the first time in 29 years.
