BECCLES-born striker Martin exploded onto the first team scene in the New Year of 2007 with five goals including the extra-time winner against Blackpool in the FA Cup fourth round.
His good form also saw him win call-ups for England's Under-19 squad and a debut goal against Turkey in March 2007.
Chris along with Michael Spillane went out on loan to League Two side Luton Town in August 2008 for the 2008-09 campaign, scoring 13 goals in 51 appearances. He was a key part of the Luton side that won the Johnstone's Paint Trophy beating Scunthorpe at Wembley, he scored Luton's first in the 3-2 extra-time victory.
Martin scored four times in the 7-0 FA Cup first round win over Paulton Rovers in November 2009, his first senior hat-trick. The striker signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with the Club in January 2010.
The striker formed an impressive trio with Wes Hoolahan and Grant Holt, who combined scored 67 goals in 2009/10 as City gained promotion back to the Championship.| Competition | Apps (as sub) |
