The young striker from Musselburgh was spotted by City's scouts whilst playing for his local Scottish side Musselburgh Windsor and signed a two-year professional contract in summer 2008.
Renton became the youngest person to ever make an appearance for the Canaries aged just 16 years and 276 days, when he came on as a substitute against Leicester City in April 2007 at The Walkers Stadium surpassing Ryan Jarvis' record by six days. He made his full debut just three days later at Turf Moor against Burnley partnering Chris Martin.
Kris suffered a serious injury in October 2007, breaking his leg in two places (displaced fracture of the tibia and fibula) playing for the Academy side.
