Dawkin made his senior debut in the 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Gillingham at Priestfield Stadium in October 2009, coming on as a 78th minute substitute for Paul McVeigh.
He followed that up five weeks later with first full game for the Club in the penalty shoot-out victory over Swindon Town at the County Ground, also in the JPT.
Josh has been capped at Under-17 and Under-19 level for Wales.
