DION DUBLIN

Posted on: Fri 09 Nov 2007

Q: What made you want to come back to the Club? Scott Dack, Norwich
DION: After a long chat with my family we agreed that this year would be my last season. And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else after being treated so well here by the fans, players and staff. That was what made me want to finish here.

Q: Who has been the best player you have played with in your career so far?
Natalie Smith, Bury St. Edmunds.
DION: There's too many to mention but I was fortunate enough to play with Ian Wright for England. I also played with Bryan Robson but Mark Hughes is my all time favourite centre forward.

Q: Who is the best manager you have played under and why? Matthew Brakenbury, Colchester.
DION: Alex Ferguson because he manages. He lets other people coach while he manages and that's why he is the best in the world.

Q: Which players do you believe (other than Hucks) are the most skilful and entertaining that you have played with? Nigel Barnard, Norwich.
DION: Ryan Giggs would have to be up there as would David Ginola.

Q: When you're captain, how does it feel to lead the team out on to the pitch? Joseph Wilson, Stowmarket.
DION: That's where I like to be, I enjoy leading and passing on what I know verbally. I also like the pressure as I feel I perform better that way.

Q: Who did you used to support when you were a kid? Jake Ward, Norfolk
DION: I supported West Brom who at the time they had the "three degrees" Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendan Batson.

Q: What's the best goal you have ever scored? Blair Luther-Veitch, Holt.
DION: I scored over head kicks against Spurs and Everton which were both away games so I guess they would be up there. The most important one though was scoring for Cambridge United in the third division play-off final at Wembley where we won 1-0.

Q: What would be the album you would have as your desert island disc?
Tim Calcutt, Norfolk.
DION: That's easy, Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key of Life".
