PEARCE ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS

Posted on: Wed 12 Mar 2008

Q: How did you feel when you heard Glenn Roeder and Norwich were interested in getting you in on loan? Daniel, Attleborough
Alex: I was very happy and excited. I've been on loan at two League One sides already so it was a great opportunity to come and play for a big team like Norwich in the Championship.

Q: Is the Championship as physical as players say it is? Tim Gray, Aylsham
Alex: It is a very physical league and our game away at Watford showed that, but the team battled hard and we got a well-deserved point.

Q: Who was your boyhood footballing hero? Simon Hill, Lowestoft
Alex: My hero was Roy Keane, he was an astute player and captain with great passion for the game.

Q: How did you feel winning the man of the match award on your first game at Carrow Road? Paul, Suffolk
Alex: it was a great feeling and the performance is a good target for me to aim to continue producing for the rest of the season.

Q: If you had to take one item with you on a desert island what would you take? Sarah, Norwich
Alex: Interesting question, I think I would have to take a football with me.

Q: Who do you think is the best defender in the Premier League? James, Norfolk
Alex: I would say John Terry. Although he has been out injured a few times this season I still think he continues to be the best.

Q: What has been the best moment in your career so far? Paul Stevens, Norwich
Alex: Playing for Reading against Tottenham in the FA Cup was a great moment for me. Not only because it was in the FA Cup but also that I got to play against some quality players.

Q: Do you think an English club will win the Champion's League this year? If so which team? Andy, Wymondham
Alex: I do think an English club will win and I'd say that Manchester United will go all the way this year.

Q: You were on loan at Bournemouth with James Henry, was it good to already know someone when you came to Norwich? Kevin, Sprowston
Alex: It's always nice to have a familiar face and also to see other lads coming in on loan at the same time. The players here made us all feel welcome straight away.

Q: How different is it running out at Carrow Road then it would be in a reserve game for Reading? Rhys Foulkes, Knapton
Alex: It's good getting match experience in the Reading reserves, but it's a fantastic feeling playing in front of 25,000 people at Carrow Road.
