MAIN Club Sponsor Aviva has been nominated for a second time for an award for its work last year for the Aviva Community Chest Challenge. This follows on from the company's nomination earlier this month for the Sports Industry Awards 2009.

Aviva has been shortlisted in the Charity and Community category of The Hollis Sponsorship Awards 2009 whose awards ceremony takes place in London on March 30.

Aviva's Community Chest Challenge ran in September last year in conjunction with the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich City Football Club and saw the company give up its name on the shirts of the Canaries' first team to a charity nominated and voted for by the local community.

The Benjamin Foundation, a North Walsham based charity dedicated to providing services for young people, won the Norwich City sponsorship for the Doncaster Rovers game in October and the initiative raised over £20,000 for the good cause through a ground collection and auction of match-worn shirts.

Chris Elliott, Aviva Sponsorship Manager said: "It's great that we are in contention for another award and hopefully we will win at least one of them."

Norwich City Football Club's Advertising & Sponsorship Manager Gary Cook commented: "I am delighted that Aviva has been recognised for a second time for this successful community focussed intiative which we wholeheartedly supported along with the EDP. Everyone at NCFC wishes Aviva the best of luck in both of these awards."
