CITY are delighted to confirm a major new deal with Anglian Home Improvements as they become the latest business to sign up to the 'We're Backing City' campaign.
The company have been partners with the Canaries for many years and have now agreed a new three-year deal to carry on their sponsorship of the Man of the Match, Player of the Month and Player of the Year awards.
As part of the deal Anglian have a box in the Jarrold Stand, a number of match tickets which they distribute amongst their Norwich-based staff and sponsorship of midfielder Stephen Hughes' kit.
The Anglian Home Improvements Man of the Match award is announced at the end of every home game, with Canary fans voting to decide who will be the Player of the Month and who will pick up the prestigious Barry Butler Trophy as the Player of the Year.
The Player of the Year dinner takes place at the end of every season, when supporters can join the Club and Anglian Home Improvements to salute the star performers from the City squad.
In addition Anglian built the conservatory and gymnasium extension in the main building at the Canaries' Colney Training Centre, which are facilities used by playing and coaching staff on a daily basis.
City's Matchday Hospitality Manager Dawn Towns commented: "We're absolutely delighted to have Anglian on board for three more years. They have been in partnership for eight years and they have really worked hard to make the player awards they sponsor a successful part of each season here at Norwich City.
"They are the latest business to join the We're Backing City initiative and we're very grateful for their continued support."
Peter Mottershead, Group Chief Executive of Anglian Home Improvements, said: "As a major employer in Norfolk it's key that we play a vigorous part in the local community and our sponsorship of Norwich City is an important part of supporting our home area.
"We are pleased to not only renew our partnership with the Football Club but to extend that commitment for a further three years and look forward to a productive and successful partnership both on and off the pitch."
The 'We're Backing City' campaign was launched at the beginning of July, with the Club working hard with all of its business partners, clients and suppliers to see if they can identify pro-active ways they can help during this challenging time for Norwich City.
Main Club sponsors Aviva kicked off the initiative by agreeing to extend their sponsorship of the Canaries to a fourth year and taking on sponsorship of the Geoffrey Watling City Stand.
Other partners of the Club are following suit by negotiating new deals, re-negotiating existing deals and exploring ways to help the Canaries cut their costs.
Any companies who are able to support the initiative will be able to use the 'We're Backing City' logo in their publicity material.
