WE'RE BACKING CITY - HUGH CRANE

Posted on: Fri 06 Nov 2009

HUGH Crane (Cleaning Equipment) Ltd is the latest recruit to the We're Backing City Campaign.

The Acle-based firm will be match sponsors of the Carlisle game on May 8, the last game of the 2009-10 season.

The business has been established for almost 30 years and specialises in the manufacture, sales, hire and repair of cleaning equipment across East Anglia. They are the largest independent dealer of equipment in Europe and sell to both commercial and retail customers. They also have a large Chemical and Automotive division and can supply a comprehensive range of products to be used in any application for both business and the home alike.

Hugh Crane's Managing Director Philip Crane has followed the Canaries for many years and is proud to be supporting them in what is turning out to be an exciting season in League One.

"Based on our current form we could be pushing for automatic promotion back to Championship where the Club belongs and we are extremely excited at being involved with the Club on the final home game of this year's campaign," says Philip.

"The success of the Football Club is extremely important to the county and the economy and we all want it to succeed. Our roots are very well established in the area and a large number of our customers are City supporters so it is a natural progression for us to get involved with the Club on this level."

Will Hoy, Norwich City's Head of Sales and Marketing said: "We will be delighted to welcome Hugh Crane to the Carlisle game as our match sponsor and for their support of the Club.

"Sponsoring a first team match at Carrow Road is one of the most high-profile matchday hospitality opportunities with excellent advertising benefits on the day. This is Hugh Crane's first match sponsorship, we're extremely grateful for this and our thanks also go out to them for joining the 'We're Backing City' campaign."

The 'We're Backing City' campaign was launched at the beginning of July, with the Club working hard with all of its business partners, clients and suppliers to see if they can identify pro-active ways they can help during this challenging time for Norwich City.

Main Club sponsors Aviva kicked off the initiative by agreeing to extend their sponsorship of the Canaries to a fourth year and taking on sponsorship of the Geoffrey Watling City Stand.

Other partners of the Club are following suit by negotiating new deals, re-negotiating existing deals and exploring ways to help the Canaries cut their costs.

Any companies who are able to support the initiative will be able to use the 'We're Backing City' logo in their publicity material.
