A FURTHER addition has been made to the companies supporting the 'We're Backing City' campaign.
Travis Perkins is one of the UK's leading builders' merchants with more than 600 branches nationwide, including 26 in the East Anglia region - with the Norwich branch of the firm, based on Europa Way, just a stone's throw from Carrow Road.
The organisation has taken up sponsorship opportunities with the Club this week for the first time in over 10 years, becoming match sponsors for this Saturday's home match with Oldham Athletic.
Nationally the firm sponsors Northampton Saints Rugby Football Club, but Regional Director Martin Sizeland of the Norwich branch explained Travis Perkins' decision to get involved with the Canaries: "We've had season tickets with the Club for at least the last eight years, but felt that we just needed to change the focus a little bit in 2009-10 and said we'd do something different. The opportunity came up to sponsor this match and we agreed to do it," he said.
"The benefit for us is that we are bringing along 14 customers and we'll give them a great day out, something to remember and something a bit different than just purely going to a football match.
"We like being involved and having that link with Norwich City. We've attended various functions and used the facilities here, but it's nice to do something different and we've just agreed we're going to do a second match sponsorship at the MK Dons game in April."
Norwich City Head of Sales and Marketing Will Hoy, said: "We look forward to welcoming Travis Perkins and their guests here to Carrow Road at the Oldham Athletic and MK Dons games. Match sponsorship is one of the most high-profile matchday hospitality opportunities and we very much hope they enjoy the experience and advertising benefits on the day.
"We thank Travis Perkins for joining the 'We're Backing City' campaign and supporting the Football Club in this way, not only with one, but two match sponsorships this season."

The 'We're Backing City' campaign was launched at the beginning of July, with the Club working hard with all of its business partners, clients and suppliers to see if they can identify pro-active ways they can help during this challenging time for Norwich City.
Main Club sponsors Aviva kicked off the initiative by agreeing to extend their sponsorship of the Canaries to a fourth year and taking on sponsorship of the Geoffrey Watling City Stand.
Other partners of the Club are following suit by negotiating new deals, re-negotiating existing deals and exploring ways to help the Canaries cut their costs.
Any companies who are able to support the initiative will be able to use the 'We're Backing City' logo in their publicity material.
