Spanish left-back Javier Garrido completed a permanent move to Norwich from Lazio this summer following an impressive season on loan from the Italian giants.
Garrido – who has signed a two-year deal – played in 34 Premier League matches, and showed plenty of attacking flair to go with his defensive resolve. He played a key role in the 1-0 home win over Manchester United, providing the pinpoint cross from which Anthony Pilkington headed the only goal.
Garrido began his career with Real Sociedad, for whom he played for three seasons in the first team before before making a £1.5m move to Sven Goran-Eriksson's Manchester City in 2007. He played 49 Premier League games for Manchester City, then joined Lazio for around £2.5m in July 2010. Garrido played 21 Serie A games in two years before joining City on loan. He is a former Spanish youth international and was capped nine times at Under-21 level.
