LEFT-SIDED Swedish international Martin Olsson signed a four-year contract when he joined the Canaries for an undisclosed fee from Blackburn Rovers in 2013.
Olsson began his career in the youth set-up at Swedish club Högaborgs BK, but switched to Blackburn in January 2006. He made his Rovers debut at 19, and was named as the club's Young Player of the Year in 2007-08.
He totalled almost 150 appearances for Blackburn during his seven-year spell at Ewood Park, and his move to Carrow Road saw him return to the top flight following Rovers' relegation in 2012.
After injury disrupted the beginning of his City career, Olsson made the left-back spot his own, playing 37 times in all competitions and finishing as runner-up to Robert Snodgrass in the voting for 2013-14 Player of the Season.
The defender continued to feature regularly the following campaign, making 45 apperances - scoring once - as the Canaries clinched promotion back to the Premier League.
Injury prevented Olsson from playing until September of the 2015-16 campaign, but he finished the season in good form at left-back even though City were ultimately relegated back to the second tier.
