PAUL Jones joined Norwich City on a free transfer in August 2016 following a two-year spell at Portsmouth.

Starting his career as a trainee at Leyton Orient, Jones' first senior football experience came when he moved to Exeter City in 2004.

There, he would enjoy great success, notably becoming the first goalkeeper to save a penalty at the new Wembley Stadium during the 2006-07 Conference play-off final.

Although Exeter missed out on promotion that time around, Jones would keep a clean sheet in the play-off final the following season to help take his side into the Football League.

Largely a mainstay with the Grecians across his seven years in Devon, he then had an 18-month stint at Peterborough United before joining Crawley.

He made over 100 appearances for Crawley before switching to Portsmouth in the summer of 2014.
