'We're in a good position', says City midfielderBRADLEY Johnson has called on Norwich City to end their Sky Bet Championship season in convincing fashion as they chase an immediate return to the top flight.
With the regular campaign drawing to a close, City sit two points off the automatic promotion positions following an impressive 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road last weekend.
They next face a crucial double-header over Easter in the form and Brighton & Sheffield Wednesday, and Johnson told canaries.co.uk: "We've got to turn up with the attitude that it's going to be a battle, and we've got to win that battle.
"There are seven games to go, and we've got to win as many as we can. Everyone in that changing room wants the same thing; we all want to get promoted this year.
"We know it's not going to be easy and can't just turn up thinking we're going to win. We’ve just got to work hard and hopefully come May we’ll be back in the Premier League."
Having committed his long-term future to the Club in the form of a new three-and-half-year contract earlier this term, Johnson is relishing the challenge that lies ahead, commenting: "My main aim, like I said at the beginning of the season, is to get promoted.
"I've never been promoted from the Championship and it's one thing I want to do. We’ve got a good chance of doing that now, and if we win every game we'll probably get an automatic spot.
"I don't care who we play, and I don't care how we play, we've just got to get three points. We can't rely on other teams, so we'll just concentrate on ourselves and take every game as it comes."
Bradley Johnson was speaking to City360, our exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary of Norwich City's 2014-15 season. Look out for the next episode, which is set to go live on Friday, 10 April.
