City youngsters set to visit Seagulls
GRAEME Murty is encouraging his Under-18s group to embrace a 'senior experience' when they visit Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (11am).The City youngsters are set for their first overnight stay of the Barclays Under-18s Premier League season, travelling down towards the south coast the day before the game.
Murty stressed the importance of adjusting to such situations, and told canaries.co.uk: "We'll be taking some Under-16s with us, and it's always good to get them out of their comfort zones.
"It means people are being promoted, and it ensures plenty of game-time for the players."
After impressing in recent weeks for little return, the Canaries secured a 1-0 victory over Fulham last weekend despite not being at their best.
The 40-year-old coach is now looking to combine performances with results, as he explained:Â "The two things have been mutually exclusive so far, so if we can marry them together then I'll be happy.
"We have high standards, as do the players. They realise what they're capable of and I'm hopeful we'll get a true reflection of that.
