FOOT IN BOTH CAMPS: SHEFF WED

11 August 2016

Connections between City and this weekend's visitors

CITY have links with the Owls both past and present, a number of players having featured for each club.

Gary Megson's ties are the strongest, with the 57-year-old having played for and managed both the Canaries and Wednesday. He made close to 250 appearances for the Yorkshire side over two spells, joining them as manager in 2011.

Others to have turned out in both sets of colours include Jon Newsome (pictured), Chris Woods, Efan Ekoku, Barry Butler and even Grant Holt, while former City boss Nigel Worthington spent a decade as a player at Hillsborough.

Of Wednesday's current squad, Gary Hooper and Jake Kean used to be on the Canaries' books while Michael Turner spent last season on loan with Carlos Carvalhal's side.
