Forward nets first of four goals shared in Greater Manchester

NELSON Oliveira was keen to focus on the positive of Norwich City extending their unbeaten run following a 2-2 draw at Wigan Athletic in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday night.

The forward gave Alex Neil's side a half-time lead, only for two goals from newly-recruited Wigan striker Omar Bogle on his full debut to turn the match in the Latics' favour.

City showed resilience however, with Michell Dijks rising highest to power home his first for the Club 15 minutes from time to ensure his side took a point back to Norfolk.

Speaking to Norwich City TV after the game, Oliveira said: "We're disappointed because we should win but it's a good point.

"It's four points in four days. We need to focus on the next game and if we win against Nottingham Forest it will be a good run.

"In the second half we reacted well after conceding the two goals. We created opportunities to score a third but unfortunately we didn't,

"It's frustrating but like I say, it's a good point."

Oliveira was thrust back into the starting XI for the match at the DW Stadium alongside Cameron Jerome, having sat out of late following his dismissal at Rotherham last month.

"Me and Cam are different players but can work together," the Portugal international added.

"He has his qualities and I have my qualities. Unfortunately we didn't win but I like playing with him.

"I'm happy to be back and will work to win against Nottingham Forest. We will push for the play-offs and know we have enough quality to get there.

"We will work to win games to get there and to get promoted."
