LOAN ROUND-UP: DECLAN RUDD RETURNS FOR CHARLTON

14 January 2017

Four players in action

DECLAN Rudd kept a clean sheet on his return from two months out injured on Saturday as Charlton Athletic played out a 0-0 draw with Millwall in Sky Bet League One.

The result sees Charlton remain firmly in mid-table, with The Addicks' Jorge Teixeira sent off for an off-the-ball incident after the final whistle.

Elsewhere in the division, Harry Toffolo completed the full match for Scunthorpe United once more as The Iron edged to a 2-1 win at Northampton Town.

Having gone in front courtesy of Kevin van Veen midway through the first half, United were pegged back just before the interval by Alex Revell's header.

With the game appearing to be heading towards a draw, Scunthorpe stole victory late on when Josh Morris curled home.

In the Scottish Championship, Tony Andreu played an hour as Dundee United came from two goals down to rescue a 3-3 draw at home to Queen of the South.

Simon Murray opening the scoring for United early on, before a trio of strikes from the visitors put them in control heading into the latter stages.

The deficit was reduced by Scott Fraser, then Murray's second of the day a minute from time ensured a share of the spoils.

Finally, Ebou Adams started as Braintree Town progressed to the FA Trophy third round with a comprehensive 5-2 win at East Thurrock.

A hat-trick from Michael Cheek saw Braintree ease into a three-goal lead inside the opening 50 minutes, before East Thurrock pulled one back from the penalty-spot.

Goals from Jack Midson and Lee Barnard then made it 5-1, ahead of the hosts netting a consolation in the final moments.
