The Norwich City Football Club Operations Team are looking to recruit a motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record within Facilities Management and Health & Safety. The successful individual will be tasked with maintaining Club facilities and ensuring Health & Safety Legislation compliance.  

You will work alongside other members of the department as well as interacting with departments across the whole business to deliver best possible standards in a cost effective way as well as putting into practice safe systems of work and encouraging all to understand their own health and safety obligations.

Reporting into the Director of Operations, this exciting opportunity involves a normal working week of Monday to Friday at 37.5 hours per week with the requirement to work on matchdays where necessary.  

Your experience in Facilities Management and Health and Safety matters will assist the Club in;

-       Ensuring Club facilities are all in full working order and improvements made where budgets allow.

-       Improving Health & Safety standards across the Club and identifying risk and reducing them accordingly.

-       Delivering vital infrastructure projects.

-       Ensuring all of the above are carried out in the most cost effective manner.

The role would ideally suit a candidate with a very much ‘hands on’ approach who has the drive and determination to get things done.  You will have the ability to communicate well on all levels and form strong relationships at varying seniority both internally and externally. You will have the personality to fit into an informal but hardworking and dedicated team.  Your personality will also be key in maintaining the goodwill towards the Club.

Organisational skills are essential in order to run a number of complex projects or tasks side by side without compromising the delivery of any to agreed timescales and satisfaction. The candidate must be resilient by learning from challenges and keep going until the solution is found.

The candidate will have the IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification.

The Norwich City Football Club Retail team are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual with proven experience within Retail Merchandising. The successful individual will be tasked with managing our Retail Stores teams and will be responsible for retail buying.

Reporting into the Head of Retail, this exciting opportunity involves working Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm including all first team matches where necessary.  

Your experience in retail will play a key role in achieving the following;

-       Implementing and maintaining buying plans taking into account previous sales, current trends and open to buy;

-       Maintaining and managing relationships with external suppliers;

-       Providing inspirational leadership, development and performance management of the Stores teams;

-       Implementing and maintaining retail operations including, Visual Merchandising Planner, Mystery Shopper Programme, Store Stocktakes; and

-       Ensure KPI’s reports are produced and Store Budgets are maintained in line with targets.

The role would ideally suit a candidate with the drive and determination to lead a Retail team in achieving and exceeding targets. You will also need to have good attention to detail and strong retail knowledge, as well as an ability to quickly form strong relationships at varying seniority both internally and externally.

Reporting into the Head of Retail, this exciting opportunity involves working Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm including all first team matches where necessary.  

Your experience in retail will play a key role in achieving the following;

-       Ensuring our e-commerce platforms are kept up to date with the latest products, promotions and photography of product in line with the promotional activity planner;

-       Understanding the performance (Banner clicks, traffic behaviour, conversion, AVB etc.) and feeding this in to the team in order to make decisions around the promotional activity plan;

-       Reviewing procedures relating to ecommerce/warehouse/mail order processes to ensure the efficient running of the e-commerce operation from business to consumer; and

-       Strong leadership of the e-commerce/warehouse team ensuring the team are driven to meet targets/deadlines as set out.

The role would ideally suit a candidate with experience of the photography and editing of products for e-commerce platforms. You will also need to have good attention to detail and strong retail e-commerce knowledge, as well as an ability to analyse data that allows the retail team to be pro-active in its e-commerce platforms.

Norwich City Football Club is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Data Analyst to join the Clubs Recruitment department. Reporting to the Head of Technical Scouting, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the process of player identification and monitoring within the first-team Recruitment department.

This role would suit a recent graduate who is looking to start a career within Data Analysis. The role is also offered on a part-time basis (three days a week) for candidates who have other commitments, such as students enrolled on a Masters degree.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and lead on all data analysis requirements within the Recruitment department;
  • Collect data sets from various online sources and storing the data in a relational database;
  • Manage and develop a statistical database to identify statistical “Best Performers”, and produce periodical reports to present this data;
  • Maintain and develop an in-house web-based platform that visualises different data sets;
  • Continuous research into examples of best practice in data analysis to ensure the department stays up-to-date with any developments in the industry; and
  • Perform additional duties, as required, to meet the demands of the department.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in a Mathematics, Computer Science or Sports Science related subject;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Experience of general-purpose computer-programming;
  • Understanding of statistical modelling;
  • Ability to work with large data sets;
  • IT literate with considerable experience using Microsoft and Apple software products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Hard-working and proactive attitude with a commitment to professional development.

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate qualification in a related subject;
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL;
  • Knowledge of R or a similar statistical package;
  • Knowledge of data visualisation software.

The successful candidates will be responsible for their pitch and reconciling their sales at each matchday.

Reporting into the Lotteries Manager, this exciting opportunity involves working on Matchday’s at Carrow Road, 3 hours prior to kick-off until 15 minutes after kick-off, on a casual basis.

Norwich City Football Club is seeking to recruit Accommodation providers to act as ‘Host Families’ for our young Academy football apprentices.

Lodgings should provide good quality accommodation in an environment which provides a safe setting for the apprentices to live during their weekly training schedule.

Due to logistical reasons, it is most desirable that the prospective applicants should live locally to our Colney Training Facility – i.e. Hethersett, Great Melton, Little Melton, Wymondham, Cringleford, Bowthorpe.

Our placements vary from short-term to long term, with some specialist accommodation, offering short notice limited accommodation for Trialists and their families or holiday cover for other Host Families.

JOB PURPOSE
Steward’s primary role is to ensure the safety and welfare of all supporters regardless of age, gender, religious or other beliefs, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability or the team they support. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend the stadium at given dates and times as dictated by the Matchday Safety Officer
  • Attend pre-event briefing
  • To be trained and assessed to a level 2 stewarding qualification within the National Qualifications Framework, or undergoing such training
  • To ensure that the requirements of the safety certificate and ground regulations are met at all times
  • To be responsible for the safety and comfort of supporters within the site
  • Direct supporters to seating areas by checking tickets
  • Assist in the prevention of overcrowding by ensuring the crowd limits in various parts of the ground are complied with
  • Ensure that gangways and exit / evacuation routes are kept clear
  • Identify and investigate any incident or occurrence among supporters, reporting their findings to a supervisor
  • Report to the area supervisor any damage or defect which is likely to pose a threat to spectator safety e.g. a damaged seat or barrier
  • Be capable of recognising potential fire hazards and suspect packages, reporting such findings immediately to a supervisor
  • Know the location of the first aid room and any first aid equipment kept elsewhere in the Stadium
  • Be fully conversant with any methods or signals used to alert staff that an emergency has arisen
  • Comply promptly with any instruction given in an emergency by the Matchday Safety Officer or supervisor
  • Remain at allocated post as instructed unless authorised or ordered to do otherwise by a supervisor
  • Assist as required in the evacuation of the ground

Norwich FC’s in-stadium betting operator, BD Stadia, are looking to add to their team of part-time cashiers to assist in the processing of fans' bets on a match day. 

Hours: On match days, 3 hours per match (weekends and evenings) 
Rate of pay: £8.33 per hour 

As part of the BD Stadia in-stadium betting team, duties include: 

  • Promoting the match day betting service and the relevant specials/promotions in the area you are assigned
  • Processing bets from supporters in concourse and corporate areas prior to kick off 
  • Cash handling and reconciling paperwork quickly and efficiently 

Delivering high levels of customer service and promoting brand awareness. 

The successful candidates must be: 

  • Honest and reliable
  • Professional and smart in appearance 
  • Available to work weekend and evening fixtures for the duration of the season, including over Christmas and Easter ( this is essential ) 
  • Well-spoken, enthusiastic and confident 
  • Ideally experienced and strong in customer service and cash handling 

We offer concourse and hospitality work, hospitality experience would be a key benefit to this role. 

Additional hours and responsibilities may be available to the right candidates. 
Previous bookmaking experience preferred but this is not required.
