YANIC Wildschut signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Norwich City in January 2017, joining the Club from Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
Born in Amsterdam in 1991, Wildschut represented a number of youth sides before joining Ajax’s Academy setup.
He joined FC Zwolle in the summer of 2010, making his debut for them in a second division league match against MVV.
After a single season with Zwolle he left to sign a three-year deal at VVV-Venlo, subsequently helping the team avoid relegation from the top-flight in his first season.
In June 2013 Wildschut joined Heerenveen, ahead of moving to ADO Den Haag on a loan deal the following January.
The winger moved to England at the start of September 2014, penning terms with Middlesbrough for whom he scored twice in 11 league appearances – including against City.
Having impressed during a loan spell at Wigan from October 2015, Wildschut completed a permanent move to the Greater Manchester side in January 2016.
His performances played a key role in the Latics earning promotion to the second tier via winning the Sky Bet League One title, with Wildschut netting four times in 25 league matches before moving to the Canaries.
He made nine appearances in the second half of the season for City, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
