Connections between City and this Tuesday's visitors

BRISTOL City boast a number of former Canaries among their ranks, with Aaron Wilbraham, Gary O'Neil and Korey Smith part of the Robins' current squad.

Wilbraham made 28 appearances for Norwich during an 18-month stay between 2011 and 2012, while O'Neil was at Carrow Road as recently as last season.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Smith graduated from City's Academy system, helping the Club earn historic back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League 2009 and 2011.

He featured 73 times for the Club in all competitions in total, taking in a number of loan stints before signing permanently for Oldham in 2013.

After just one season with the Latics, Smith transferred to Bristol City where he has since become a regular - playing a key role alongside Wilbraham in their promotion to the Championship two seasons ago.

More historically, Rob Newman is a notable figure for both sides, progressing through the Robins' youth set-up to make over 450 appearances prior to joining Norwich in 1991.

During his time at Carrow Road, Newman played in the famous 1993 UEFA Cup win away to Bayern Munich, going on to feature 249 times across a seven-year spell in Norfolk.
