Norwich City's Under-23s moved up to second in Group C of the Premier League Cup with a 1-0 victory over Bury at Colney.
Both teams had chances to win the game but it was City who took one of theirs with just minutes to play when Owen Wallis tapped home following a cutback from Tristan Abrahams.
The first-half threw up relatively little in the way of chances of goal.
Tsun Dai went close twice for Bury, shooting straight at Aston Oxborough on 18 minutes and then having a goalbound half-volley superbly blocked ten minutes later.
City weren't at their best in the opening 45 but could have easily taken the lead on 31 minutes. Adam Phillips' free-kick fell to the feet of Wallis but the City centre-back scooped over from close-range.
Simon Power and Savvas Mourgos both threatened as the game was goalless heading into the interval.
Conditions got progressively worse at the match wore on and the snow continued to fall and chances were still at a premium.
Bury could have taken the lead on 67 minutes when Chris Sang shot inches wide from just inside the box.
City started to increase their intensity as the game approached it's climax and Louis McIntosh whacked the crossbar from inside the box on 78 minutes.
Sean Raggett saw red two minutes later for a second bookable offence but City managed to grab a late goal when Wallis converted Abrahams' cutback from close-range.
