Within the goalkeeper department we offer U7 to U16s the chance to receive high-quality technical coaching sessions at outstanding playing venues situated across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk & Peterborough for both boys and girls.
The programme covers all technical aspects of goalkeeping, such as:
- Handling and footwork
- Shot stopping
- Dealing with crosses
- 1 v 1s
- Distribution techniques
This will also include a specific personal review every 12 weeks for the students to use as motivation and a learning aid to improve themselves. This means that over the course of the 36 weeks they will receive three individual reports.
The goalkeeper structure is a tiered system seen below for boys and girls.
- Goalkeeper Centre (Boys Programme)
- Goalkeeper PDC (Boys and Girls Programmes)
- Goalkeeper Elite PDC (Boys and Girls Programmes)
This represents the potential progressions each level can make regionally in your area.
Participants will also have opportunities to represent RDP in fixtures, festivals, training camps, tours and match day experiences
Goalkeeper Centre – Witchford, Bury St Edmunds, Yaxley
Goalkeeper PDC – Witchford, Bury St Edmunds and Yaxley
Goalkeeper Elite PDC – Cambourne (Boys only), Bury St Edmunds Yaxley
Open Days and Holiday Camps
Throughout the season we hold specialist Goalkeeper Holiday Camps/Morning courses which are open for all ages and abilities.
Trialists will be given a two-week trial period starting at the goalkeeper centre, no matter where experiences have been previously. Once trialled, participants will be allocated into a certain tier.
