The Player Development Centre is the first tier of our regional youth development pathway and is an invitation-only programme for outfielders. It offers advanced players the chance to receive weekly technical coaching sessions at venues situated in key areas around Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Peterborough.
The primary focus of the PDC at Norwich City FC is to play a key role in identifying gifted and talented players, as well as supplementing their grassroots football.
We currently have the following venues across our regions:
- Cambridgeshire: Central Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket and Cambourne (U7-U16)
- Peterborough: Yaxley, Huntingdon and St Neots (U7-U16)
- Suffolk: Sudbury, Whitton, and Kesgrave (U7-U14)
- Hertfordshire: Ware, Harlow (U10-U14)
The technical syllabus for the PDC Programme is delivered in line with the philosophy and DNA of the Club & Academy and puts every young person at the centre of each coaching session, therefore supporting the individual to be creative and receive maximum contact time with the ball.
Trials for the 2020-21 Season
We will be holding trials for new players to join the Player Development Programme throughout the season.
Each trial will last 90 minutes and will be a combination of coached practices and small-sided games. We want every player attending the trial to feel as relaxed as possible, show us what they can do and enjoy themselves – after all, football is meant to be fun!
To register for a trial place, follow this link and complete the online application form: HERE
