The Norwich City FC Regional Development Programme would like to announce a number of staffing changes and new faces to the team across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk & Peterborough.
Established in 2014, the growth of the programmes across our regions has been hugely successful, with our projects now working with over 3000 children & young people per week.
As well as delivering the traditional community sessions through local schools, weekly evening centres & holiday courses, our invitation-only programmes have shown significant progression and a clear pathway into the Norwich City FC Academy. Over the past five years since its introduction, 32 boys have signed for the Academy.
With this progression, we are delighted to announce some changes regionally, which will ensure that standards continue to be raised, and that further opportunities are created.
Matt Clements moves into his role as Regional Director for Cambridgeshire. Matt will oversee all operations within this area & develop new & existing courses whilst building on the current partnerships already in place. Matt is no stranger to the RDP, having overseen all term time coaching programmes and holiday courses over the past 18 months.
We are delighted to secure the services of Clive Taylor, who has been with the RDP as a coach since 2015. Clive takes up the position as Football Development Officer (Elite Football) and will oversee the Boys Elite Player Development pathway.
Finally, we welcome on board Michael Browning as Boys Football Development Officer for Peterborough. Michael will continue to manage & develop the boy’s invitation-only player development centre programmes & open access football sessions across Peterborough and surrounding areas.
We would like to officially welcome all three individuals into their new roles, which will help to develop a host of activities & opportunities for the children & young people in East Anglia.
