We would like to take the opportunity to introduce to our new apprentices Toby and Abigail. They will be working within our Schools and Community programmes whilst studying a Level 3 PE and School Sport Delivery qualification.
Toby has progressed through the RDP from being a player in our Player Development Centres and Elite Player Development Centre to playing for our Football and Education programme at Hub partner Ely College. During this time Toby completed a BTEC Level 3 Sport achieving a Merit Pass Pass from his two-year course.
Although just starting out on his coaching pathway Toby has already started gaining some good coaching experience by assisting at his local grassroots club Linton Aztecs coaching the U9’s and at Great Abington Primary After School Club where he delivered sporting activities to the students.
Toby has said “Starting the apprenticeship has already given me a good insight into how the industry works and the expected standards”.
Abi joins RDP after completing BTEC Level 3 Sport at Cambridge Regional College. While at CRC she also completed a Higher Sports Leaders Award.
Abi has a passion for delivering sport and has worked on holiday camps in Cambridge during every school holiday since the age of 14. This past summer before embarking on her apprentice journey with the RDP Abi gained coaching experience delivering basic skills with fun games and activities to 2-7 year olds.
Abi stated “I am excited to work with NCFC RDP as it will help me develop my coaching skills and work in different school environments”.
