The half-term is always a busy time for the Regional Development Programme and its participants, this half term saw us deliver community courses, trials, development camps, and fixtures!
Fixtures, Development Camps, and Goalkeeper mornings are just a taster of what our football programme had on offer this October half term.
On Monday and Tuesday in Suffolk, we held a two-day football camp for our development centre players which gave them their half-term football fix with plenty of topics being worked on! On Wednesday it was time for internal fixtures where the various age groups competed in small-sided games with challenges relating to previous topics they had focused on.
On Wednesday our Cambridgeshire Girls Elite Under 13 Squad faced Cambridge City Under 13 Girls in a competitive fixture despite the wet and windy conditions.
Our goalkeepers were also in action this half term with a variety of goalkeeper mornings across our three regions.
The half-term week also saw our three Football and Education Programmes (Impington, Bishop Laney & Thomas Deacon Academy) hold open events for our male and female programmes.
The weather wasn't always on our side but that didn't stop the fun! We welcomed over 250 boys and girls across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, and Peterborough this October half term on our Community courses.
We held our popular football and sports camps at venues including St Neots, Impington, Ely, Cambourne plus an additional course at a brand-new venue in Copleston!
At our brand-new venue in Copleston along with our football and sports, we also held a girl's only football development camp which welcomed 20 local girls for a day of football.
Keep your eyes peeled on our website as we prepare to launch our Christmas and February holiday courses.
We have also just announced a brand-new block of weekly community courses across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk & Peterborough, for more information CLICK HERE
