Here at the RDP, we enjoy highlighting the development of our participants, and in particular, the journeys they travel, both from a sporting background and from what they go on to achieve after their time with us.
Now entering his 7th year with us, we caught up with Josh and his parents, has recently celebrated his 12th birthday, to hear about his time at the RDP.
How old were you when you first started with us, and what programme did you attend?
Josh has been with Norwich since he was 6 years old, and started at the Futsal Skills Centre which took place at Cambourne Village college on Sunday mornings. Following his development, he was invited to the Player Development Centre and had various trials with the Centre of Excellence. Since his U9 year, Josh has been in the Elite PDC, where he is until this day going into his U12 season.
What has Josh most enjoyed about his time with us?
Josh enjoys learning new skills and playing as a team, and especially likes the matches at the end of each session, and every coach he has had throughout the years have been amazing.
What’s been Josh’s favourite moment?
The most favourite moments have been going on the elite tours with friends, and playing against other strong teams
Who’s your favourite Norwich City FC player
My favourite Norwich City player is Teemu Pukki
Josh’s parents had this to say..
We have really enjoyed watching our son progress with his football at Norwich, he has become more skilful and is now a complete player and enjoys team football. This is all thanks to the coaches who have coached Josh throughout the different age groups during his time with them.
A great insight from Josh and his family, and we look forward to him continuing to develop not just as a footballer, but as a person too. Keep up the great work!
