Free Grassroots Coaches CPD: Coaching the Female Player

11 March 2021

One of the key aims of our Girls Football Development Programme is to support the development and growth of girl’s football within the communities we work in.

With that in mind, we are delighted to be able to invite you to attend an important free online CPD event for grassroots coaches or parents involved in female football. Even if you are not currently coaching a female team, the information covered within this CPD may still be of interest to you and you are welcome to attend.

The CPD will be led by Phoebe Webb, who coaches at our St Neots Girls PDC. Phoebe has carried out extensive research and will be covering key topics on ‘Coaching the Female Player’.

The session will include:

- Affects of the menstrual cycle on performance
- Injury Prevention
- Nutrition considerations for female players
- Strength and conditioning considerations for female players
- How clubs, facilities, coaches and venues can better support female players

Meeting Information:

- Tuesday 23rd March
- 6-7pm
- Via Microsoft Teams

The topics covered within this CPD are important for anyone working with female athletes in any sport and will give you some ideas and tools to implement at your club to support female players.

We are hoping to be able to support as many coaches and clubs across Suffolk, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire as possible on this topic.

If you would like to register to attend the meeting, please complete the following short form which can be found here.

If you have any questions, please contact our Girls Football Development Manager:

We will look forward to welcoming you on the night.
