Following last weeks in-depth look at the academic side of our Football and Education Programmes, we now explore the Training part of the courses.
Delivered by our highly skilled coaches all players will get the opportunity to train a minimum of 3 times a week clocking up around 6 hours of practice time. We aim to improve the players technical, tactical and physical abilities to ensure players can have the biggest impact in games to provide them with the tools to play at the highest level possible.
Alongside this, the goalkeepers on our schemes will receive weekly training sessions from the Regional Development Programmes goalkeeper department where coaches will work to hone individual technique and the game understanding of our goalkeepers.
Within our sessions players can expect training to be designed to be relatable to a game, enjoyable and competitive, this allows our players to apply what they learn in training on a matchday. All players will be set individual targets to work on in their game with coaches working individually with the players within sessions to ensure players develop to their full potential.
