City pair Robert Snodgrass and Russ Martin called-up for Easter Road clash
NEW signing Robert Snodgrass and defender Russell Martin have been called up by Scotland manager Craig Levein for their friendly against Australia on August 15.
The fixture at Hibernian’s Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh (kick-off 8pm) will be the squad’s last chance to prepare for their World Cup qualifying campaign which starts with an opening clash with Serbia on September 8.
The pair will meet up with their Scottish teammates for the match in Edinburgh, returning in time for the Canaries’ opening match of the Barclays Premier League season against Fulham on August 18.
Snodgrass has collected five caps in total for Scotland so far, scoring the winner in the Scots 2-1 win over Denmark in August 2011. His last appearance for Scotland came in their 1-1 draw with Slovenia in February.
Russell Martin has now got three caps for Scotland since making his debut against Wales in May 2011. Russ was a part of the Scotland squad who flew to Florida this summer to face the USA, losing 5-1 to the US on home soil.
