City midfielder ready to face Spurs if selected

SUMMER signing Alexander Tettey is raring to get going in a Norwich City shirt after receiving international clearance in time for Saturday’s Barclays Premier League tie at White Hart Lane.

The Canaries face Manager Chris Hughton’s former club Tottenham Hotspur, and the new addition from French side Rennes is available to play should he be selected.

The Norwegian international midfielder told Canaries Player: “I’ve seen Tottenham play, they are a good team, so it is going to be a tough game.

“I think the team is capable of doing anything and everything against Tottenham.

“It is only the third game of the season and the teams are not at the right level yet, but I think we have a fair chance of getting a result.

“I’m not sure if I’m going to play yet though, it’s up to the Manager.

“It was a good atmosphere at Carrow Road against QPR last weekend. We played well and I think we should have won, so hopefully we can get a win at Tottenham."

Tettey has been settling in well to life with the Norwich City squad after his move from France, and the former-Rosenborg defensive midfielder is confident he can adjust to the demands of the English game.

“Everybody says the pace is very high in England, and I have to be ready for that,” said Tettey.

“I can’t wait to get started and get some playing time, so we’ll see how it goes.

“I’m really excited to be here. I’ve been here a couple of days now and things are going okay.

“The lads have welcomed me well, I don’t know everybody yet, but that’s normal and I’ll get to know them soon.”
