Ruddy, Morison, Martin, Snodgrass and Jackson all called for duty


CITY striker Steve Morison and 'keeper John Ruddy have been called up by Wales and England respectively for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. 

Ruddy meets up with the England squad for their upcoming qualifiers against San Marino on Friday, October 12 at Wembley before flying out to Warsaw to face Poland at the National Stadium on October 16. There is also a first call-up for former Norwich loanee Fraser Forster.

City striker Morison has also been called up by Wales manager Chris Coleman for their crunch World Cup qualifying matches against Scotland and Croatia.

Morison will meet up with the squad in Cardiff following the Canaries clash with Chelsea, before a week of preparation to face Scotland and City teammates Russell Martin and Robert Snodgrass at Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, October 12 (kick-off 7.45pm).

Wales then travel east to face Croatia in Osijek to take on the Croats on Tuesday, October 16. (8pm kick-off). 

City's Robert Snodgrass and Russell Martin have been called up by Scotland for their forthcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Belgium.

First up for the Scots is a trip to the Cardiff City Stadium to face Wales on Friday, October 12. This is then followed by another away tie to Belgium in Brussels on Tuesday, October 16.

Striker Simeon Jackson will also play a part in his country's World Cup qualifying campaign, meeting up with his Canadian team-mates to face Cuba and Honduras at the end of next week.


City's Ryan Bennett and Declan Rudd have been named in Stuart Pearce’s England Under-21s squad to face Serbia in a crunch Euro 2013 play-off double header.

The first-leg of the crucial clash will take place on Friday, October 12 at Carrow Road with kick off at 6pm, meaning the Yellow Army will have a chance to cheer on the City duo as they look to help the young Lions earn qualification for a fourth consecutive European Championships tournament.
