Audit commission recommends Club for top EPPP status

CITY are delighted to confirm that the Club’s Academy has been recommended for Category One status within the Elite Player Performance Plan by the audit commission.

It is a huge move in the right direction for City in their quest to gain Category One status, with the final decision on City’s EPPP status set to made in November.

Speaking on the news Chief Executive David McNally said: “We're delighted the audit commission has recommended we be awarded Category One status within the Elite Player Performance Plan.

“A huge amount of work has gone into the bid for category one from people at Club, especially Academy Manager Ricky Martin and his team who have done the hard yards.

“If we are awarded Category One status we will be able to recruit nationally and not be bound by the 90-minute radius rule any longer.

“Category One status would radically change and improve the way we can recruit, educate and train our young players at Norwich City.”
