Canaries.co.uk previews tonight's Capital One Cup tie
THE Canaries continue their Capital One Cup campaign on Wednesday night with a tricky test against League One side Doncaster Rovers in the third round at Carrow Road (7.45pm).
City breezed past Scunthorpe United in the previous round to set up the tie with Dean Saunders’ Rovers and give themselves a chance of advancing to the last 16 for the first time since the 1995-96 season.
Doncaster will present a tough challenge for the Canaries, having beaten York City in the first round before coming back from 2-0 down to secure a last minute 3-2 victory over Steve Bruce’s Hull City and reach the last 32.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm, and you can listen live to the action through Canaries Player, as well as following live updates on Canaries.co.uk, and through our official Twitter (@NorwichCityFC)

Norwich City Manager Chris Hughton revealed that Alex Tettey, Harry Kane, Jacob Butterfield, and Mark Bunn are all set to start for the Canaries, whilst former Rovers defender Elliott Ward and Elliott Bennett are also available. Anthony Pilkington (back) and Sebastien Bassong (hamstring) are doubts, but there is a place in the squad to 17-year-old winger Josh Murphy – the first time he has been involved with the first team for a competitive match.
Doncaster could be without midfielder Martin Woods for the clash, who is currently suffering with a twisted ankle, however Kyle Bennett – the younger brother of City winger Elliott, is available.

Dean Saunders MANAGER:
An accomplished striker who played for Wales, Derby County, Liverpool, and Aston Villa amongst many others, Saunders took over the managerial reigns at the Keepmoat Stadium in September 2011, replacing Sean O’Driscoll.
His Rovers side have lost just two games this season, and come into the game on the back of creditable draws against Sheffield United and Stevenage. They currently sit 12th in the League One table with a game in hand over the teams above them.
Norwich City v Doncaster Rovers
|Norwich City wins||Draws||Doncaster wins|
In six attempts, Doncaster have never won a match at Carrow Road, losing five and drawing one. The two sides have never met in the league cup, and the last time they faced each other was in the 2010-11 Championship season. At Carrow Road that season Adam Drury’s own goal cancelled out Grant Holt’s opener in a 1-1 draw, whilst at the Keepmoat Doncaster ran out 3-1 winners – one of their two wins over City.
