Youth team fall to heavy reverse against Middlesbrough

NORWICH City's Under-18s were on the wrong end of a 7-0 defeat at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday... as several of Neil Adams' more experienced scholars were rested ahead of Tuesday's FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg against Nottingham Forest.

After a hectic recent schedule, the line-up consisted mainly of players from younger age groups as the Teesiders ran out comfortable winners at Colney Training Centre.

The visitors' goals came from Luke Armstrong (2), Thomas McAloon (2), Jonathan Helm, Nathan McGinley and Robbie Tinkler.

There's still time get your tickets (£2) for Tuesday's game at Carrow Road, with City taking a 1-0 lead into the crucial second leg.
