A look ahead to our Capital One Cup meeting with the Shakers

Capital One Cup Second Round
7.45pm kick-off
Carrow Road
Tuesday, August 27, 2013

“We’ll make changes and use the squad as much as we can, but it’s a game we very much want to win and go through.

“There’s no reason why we can’t go far. We had a good run in it and it’s a cup competition that we want to make progress in.

“First and foremost we have to get past Bury, and that will be a tough game. They’re a side who have nothing to lose and they’ll be lifted by the occasion of coming to a Premier League team. It won’t be an easy game but we’ll make sure we do our best to win.”

Then struggling at the bottom of League Two, Bury set-up an FA Cup Fourth Round tie with Southampton by shocking the Canaries in their replay at Gigg Lane back in 2008.

Ben Futcher and Andy Bishop pushed the Shakers into a two-goal lead, and although Dion Dublin levelled with five minutes on the clock to give the Canaries hope, Bury held on for the victory.
